Pay with Profits: lower PWP Fees, retakes and new risk rules

From 30 October 2026, five things change on Pay with Profits: the PWP Fee is lower; Daily Loss now counts towards your Risk Tier; Max Risk thresholds are higher in the challenge; higher Risk Tiers now get a lower Max Risk when funded, and lower tiers get a higher one; and you can retake your challenge if you are not happy with your Risk Tier.

A lower PWP Fee

The PWP Fee is 0.5% lower at every Risk Tier. You now always get paid from your maximum first payout, even if you pass at Very High, where the PWP Fee used to take all of it.

Your first payout request must be at least your PWP Fee or 1% of your initial balance, whichever is higher.

Daily Loss now counts towards your Risk Tier

Your Risk Tier is now set by the worst of three metrics during the challenge: Max Loss, Max Risk and Daily Loss. Your tier also sets the Max Daily Loss on your Simulated Funded Account, which was previously 5% on every tier.

Daily Loss is measured against your initial balance. A day's loss of 5% or more breaches the challenge. As with the other two metrics, once a day's loss moves you into a higher tier, you stay there for the rest of the challenge.

Max Risk

In the challenge

The Max Risk thresholds that set your Risk Tier are higher, so you have more room for risk before you move into a higher tier. At 0.5%, the Very Low threshold was a tripwire rather than a useful measure of how you manage risk.

Retake your challenge

When you pass a PWP challenge, you can choose to give up the pass and take the challenge again. The retake is available to everyone, whichever Risk Tier you pass at, so you can try for a different tier if you are not happy with yours. You can no longer choose a higher Risk Tier when you pass.

  • We email you as soon as you pass. The link shows your Risk Tier, Profit Share, PWP Fee, Max Loss and Max Daily Loss, and lets you choose whether to retake.

  • You have 24 hours to decide. If you decline or do not answer, your account goes for review as normal.

  • If you retake, your pass is forfeited and a new challenge starts straight away with the same account size and Add-Ons. On a two-stage challenge, you start again from stage one.

  • Your new Risk Tier is set by the new attempt only.

  • You can retake each challenge once.

If you fail the new attempt, you will not receive a Simulated Funded Account, and the forfeited pass cannot be restored.

Who this applies to

The lower PWP Fee, the Daily Loss metric and the new Max Risk apply to PWP accounts purchased from 30 October 2026. Retake your challenge applies to everyone.
